Yet another manufacturing team is going (might) quit Formula 1. After BMW pulled out from the 2010 season, Renault might just do the same, but for different reasons. Even after the recent signing with Robert Kubica, the rumors persist. The French car maker is looking at selling the team after what they have recently gone through with the Flavio-Piquet saga.
F1-Live reports, “One buyer was identified as Gerard Lopez, co-founder of venture capital firm Mangrove, and the other a Russian by the name of Andrej Krajnik, who is linked with the existing Renault sponsor Megafon.”
It seems that Formula 1 will be moving towards the rich privateers instead of big manufacturing giants.
