Schumacher Wants Nico’s Race Number

As superstitious as one may be, Michael Schumacher, the 7-time world champion wants to Nico Rosberg’s race number for the 2010 Formula 1 championship. Both will be driving for Mercedes GP but with Nico assigned No.3 by the FIA, this meant that Schumacher will be on route for No.4. Bild newspaper has revealed that Schumacher has asked Nico for a number swap.

This of course requires the approval of the FIA.

He is doing so because he believes that even numbers are unlucky for him. Odd numbers have been proven to be in favor of Schumacher as he won all 7 of his world championships racing odd numbered cars, once driving cars bearing No.3 and No.5 and five times in car No.1.

With these said, he is very much back in shape and will be testing in a Formula 1 car by February.

No.3 eh? What would Nico say to that! More beer?
