The beautiful Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has finally begun its production. Autoblog reports:
“The Magna Steyr factory in Graz, Austria is producing the aluminum bodyshell and chassis, which weighs in at just 531 pounds, while the technicians at the AMG shop in Affalterbach, Germany are hand building the 571 horsepower 6.3-liter V8 engine. Like many other high performance engines, each SLS engine is built and tested by a single technician. The SLS has been priced starting at €177,310 (approximately $250,000) in Germany including the value added tax (VAT), although U.S. pricing has yet to be disclosed.”

Really all for detail. Well, at least its cheaper than the Lexus LFA, and I would so rather have this over the Japanese toy.
