The Brazilian was in Maranello to test out the new Ferrari 458 Italia as well as doing some practice in the retired F2007 in order to get himself warmed up. Massa has been absent from f1 since July this year due to the incident where he was hit by debris during qualifying at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

There are speculations that Massa make his comeback during the Brazilian GP this coming weekend.

The guys over at Tekniknes Vald got a chance to take a ride in the prototype which is a equipped with an on-board computer which is able to identify pedestrians and bikers through feeds from the vehicles camera. This will enable the car to slow down the car to prevent accidents from happening

Volvo has always been knows for its safety features, not the most glamorous concepts for cars however they are practical and the choice for family cars. The S60 is still heavily covered and the true shape of the vehicle cant really be seen. We expect to see the new S60 in production by 2010.

If you don’t know it yet Top Gear will return this coming Novembers for their 14th Season of the current format. Now the latest story to hit the Internet was when the Jeremy, Richard and James were spotted filming in the Romania along with 3 exotic super cars. The boys are out once again to look for the best driving roads in Europe, Richard Hammond was spotted behind the wheels of the new Ferrari California, Jeremy Clarkson in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and Captain Slow James May with a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

In the video we see the boys blasting their cars in a tunnel that runs through Nicolae Ceausescu’s construction, the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. The sound of those roaring engines is just superb.  Also seen in the video is Jeremy giving quite a sour face to the news casters, probably not too happy being surrounded by the media during filming.

According to local Romanian newspaper the team was filming in the capital as well as the Transfagarasan road in the central of Romania which to no surprise has been closed down for two days just so that 3 men can drive around in their super cars. These privileges only comes when you are in best motoring show in the world.

These photos below will just put you in awe, the road is just fantastic. And surely worth of one of the best driving roads in the world. Especially with the backdrop of that fantastic scenery.

Transfagarasan Road

Tranfagarasan is the highest road in Romania, climbing up to 2,034 metres. It runs north and south across the tallest part of the Carpathian Mountains between the highest peak in the country, Moldoveanu, and the second highest, Negoiu. The road connects the historic regions of Transylvania and Wallachia, rising from 1,034 to 2,034 metres in only 30 kilometres.

Also on a different note, one of the Romanian newspapers hinted that Top Gear’s latest season will consist of 14 episodes. We cannot confirm this yet, as it could have been a misunderstanding between episode and season. For now we shall wait patiently for November 15.

The goal of the video is to promote Ferrari’s new configuirator site where you can customize how you would like your new Ferrari 458 to look like. Not much of goodies to choose from but enough to make give it personal touches.

You get the options of choosing the colour and finishing, Rims, colour of the break calipers, interior colour, stitching,  seat belt colour and even the type of carpet for the boot.
